My story, from student to award winning Academic, Teacher, Private Tutor & Mentor
I am a fully qualified Teacher of Science and Mathematics, having gained my Post Graduate Certificate of Education from the Institute of Education, University College London, in 2006. I am DBS checked and safeguarding trained.
Having successfully completed my A-levels, I went on to study Life Sciences with Mathematics, after which I continued my education going onto complete a Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences. After completing my Masters degree, for which I gained a Distinction, I began working in the pathology laboratories of the world renowned King’s College Hospital London, specialising in Haematology and Blood Transfusion Serology.
Not being satisfied with my work, I began tutoring students from KS3 to A- Levels and up to University level. This is where my journey started from fledging tutor to now, a fully qualified Teacher working in an Outstanding school in Buckinghamshire.
I am a strong believer in self confidence and having seen this personally through many students that I have taught in the past, boosting a child’s confidence can not only improve their attainment in exams but can also set them on a brand new path of discovering a love for learning. Unfortunately, this is something that many schools fail to give their students.
Please feel free to contact me for an informal chat to see how best I can support you and your child to ensure the best possible academic outcome and future.
